Soft washing as the name suggests is a more gentle approach to exterior building cleaning where high-pressure jet washing and superheated steam cleaning is not a suitable option.
Soft washing is used in a variety of cleaning techniques and is applied either with a small engine with a chemical pump or 12 volt system and at pressure fresh we use Honda engines fitted with comet pumps which are fitted with specialist seals that can take a variety of chemicals and these are widely used in the soft wash exterior building cleaning industry.

At pressure fresh we use soft washing on a regular basis to clean roofs and over a period of time we get good results with biocides or for a more instance result we use sodium hypochlorite, depending on the roof surface being cleaned and treated, we scrape the roof of any moss and any growth before we apply chemicals such as biocides or sodium hypochlorite with soft washing, unlike pressure, washing or super heated power washing Please be aware when using biocides, that the results take time as it is not noticeably an instant result as they slowly kill the biofilm on the roof surface. So please keep this in mind as a results are not instant.

At pressure fresh we have been using soft washing for many years, and as it has gained in popularity, due to the use of different renders as in K rend and similar renders which harbour in particular biofilms, which include green and red algae and mould and due to the nature of the surface and soft washing is perfect for the job as when the chemicals is sprayed on, and in some cases brushed into the surface of the exterior of the render it is very effective over time.
