OK, well maybe not yet, but we are at that time of the year where the sun is shining a little more and we start to think about venturing out into our gardens. But to spoil it all, we then realise that the patio needs cleaning…groan…
But help is at hand! At pressure fresh we specialize in all aspects of the exterior of building cleaning. We can’t make the sun shine (although we wish we could!) but we can make your patio shine!
In the pictures below you’ll see some sad-looking patios that have been neglected and were desperately in the need of our services.
Both patios were washed with a surface washer and rinsed – paying close attention to the edges to make sure nothing was missed. Then they were both chemically treated using a mixture of sodium hypochlorite and amine. This combination really shifts all the organic biofilm, including algae, mold and lichens. We leave the chemical to dwell on the surface being mindful not to let it dry out to get the best results.
Once the chemical has dwelled for long enough we then rinse the surface thoroughly. Then we move on to the detail – and the devil (aka the dreaded black spot) is definitely in the detail! We specialize in removing black spot by using a stronger chemical mix, and then we pressure wash or power wash it off depending on the surface. Pressure washing (also known as jet washing) uses a process of cold washing under pressure, and power washing uses super-heated steam/water of temperatures up to 150 degrees. We produce this using a diesel heated mazzoni boiler which is mounted in our van.
And voila – happy patios and happy clients all round!
